An Independent Wine ReviewCabernet Sauvignon | Merlot | Other Reds | Red Blends | Shiraz | Whites | ZinfandelThe mission of the Humble Wine Review is to provide unbiased reviews of affordable wines. This site will not accept direct advertising and will not engage in any affiliate sales practices of any kind. In other words, our goal is to provide an independent opinion, not generate income from this site. The focus will be on affordable wines, usually less than $20 a bottle. In addition to providing a description of the wine, we will provide two numerical scores. One will illustrate the overall quality of the wine and the other will provide a value ratio. The value ratio compares the quality of the wine to the price and is a good indicator as to whether you are getting what you are paying for, in a bottle of wine. Quite simply, Vintners offering a quality bottle of wine at a low price will be rewarded with high value ratio. Unlike many things in this world, you don't always get what you pay for when it comes to a bottle of wine. The objective of this review is to help insure we consumers receive value for the money we spend on a bottle of wine. Much of the information shared here in these reviews is the result of countless wine tastings. For what it is worth, I am consistently amazed at how high marks in the tasting do not correlate to the price of the bottle of wine. Shall we get started? Good luck and I hope you have as much fun reading these reviews as I have had doing the research!
