The Grand estates wines are created with an artisan winemaking approach. During harvest a third of the fruit from the distinguished vineyards selected for this Merlot are not crushed. These whole berries are added to the wine during fermintation to create a unique aramatic and flavorful style with a soft texture. This has become the signature of this Merlot and a benchmark for Washington quality.
