Comments:

A subtle wine, I was surprised to find not much fruit up front. But, what it lacks in bold fruit is somewhat made up for by a mellow complexity that reveals just the right amount of Oak. This serves to complement the very subdued flavors of plum and dark fruit which provides a nice depth for the wine. Very drinkable.

From the Label:

Our wines are a tribute to the Beringer Brothers who founded Beringer Vineyards in 1876. These classically styled, fruit-forward wines are hand-crafted for your enjoyment. Our rich and intense flavored Merlot is full of blackberry, plum and toasted spice flavors. It's the perfect compliment to creamy pasta dishes or your favorite grilled meats. Enjoy!
