Comments:

Not much fruit up front but the finish is composed of mild tannins, mellow oak and the hint of vanilla. This Cab is one of those wines that makes stop and wonder at the complex flavors that can come out of a grape.

From the Label:

Forty years of grape growing in the Alexander Valley has given us a firm foundation from which to farm our prized Cabernet Sauvignon grapes. This has allowed us to fine tune what has become known as "the Alexander Valley style," Cabernet Sauvignon rich in color, concentrated fruit and moderate tannins. Small amounts of merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot compliment this year's blend. Though quite approachable at release, this wine will continue to develop in the bottle for a decade or more.

Alexander Valley yields distictive grapes and wines recognized worldwide. Our property was the homestead of pioneer Cyrus Alexander, for whom the valley is named. We produce delicious wines, rich in varietal character, from our vineyards.
